Quantcast

Fitting right in with Karl's article below,  we get the tweet at the left from Chris Forsberg from the Celtics practice.

Doc on the injury:
"I was worried about it [Monday] and it happened. So we’ll see. I’m sure we’ll do another X-ray to make sure nothing happened."

"Look you gotta play.If somebody’s going to hit you, they’re going to hit you. It’s going to happen. It’s basketball."
It seems as though the x-ray is mostly precautionary to be sure that the wrist wasn't re-injured.   But, this more than likely means that Delonte's return to game action will be postponed until after the All Star break, rather than tomorrow night as was originally planned.

I really feel for Delonte.  Seems like the kid can't catch a break.  But as Karl says below, once injury prone, always injury prone.    I've been saying all along that Delonte's return is going to be a key to the team's fortunes down the stretch and in the post season and so I'm hoping that he is ok and will indeed be back right after the break.  I'll post more details as they become available.

Right, and what guarantees you have that if you bring the Prince from the pistons he won't get hurt two-three weeks down the road?!

He will be fine. Remember, this team has more heart than any team I have ever seen before. The Celtics are on a mission that will be accomplished!
