Yesterday we posted a video on the NBA's top shot blocker after the whistle, so today we figured we'd give you the NBA's greatest shot blocker ever.
Bob Pettit: "I went around my man going up for a layup and he blocked a couple shots on me. And then the next time around I missed a layup looking for him."
Bill Russell: "And I would block a guy's shot and say yes we did that to you. And if you come back we'll do it again. And if you come back again we'll do it another time, so you have to find something else to do. That won't work."
I love Russell's use of the word "we."

KG= a poor man's Bill Russell
Now or in his prime? Bill Russell has got to be one of the top 5 most respected athletes of all time though.
In his prime. Now KG's an AIDS ridden, homeless man's Bill Russell.
I loved Bill Russell. This is so cool.
Haha, nice one TB.
Loved this video!
Btw how did the NBA NOT keep track of blocks and steals back then? That's almost as ridiculous as the 3 Division winners NOT getting the top 3 seeds in their conference for the playoffs. Oh wait...lol
Great video!!! loved the Unsolved Mysteries-esque soundtrack to it. I would love to get my hands on some digital copies of some of the old Celtics games so I can see #6 in action.
