So we're going to keep track of who pulls down more offensive rebounds during these final 28 games.
In one corner, standing just short of 7 feet tall, we have our 6th man and backup center Rasheed Wallace. In the other corner, listed at 5 feet 9 inches, we have our new backup point guard Nate Robinson. LET'S GET READY TO REBOUND!

Proportion-wise, Nate looks about 6'6 in that photo lmao...
Adjusted the picture some you hater. lol.
Was just about to text you since I thought you did lol- looks much better now!
Your approval means the world...
This is just great. Sadly I picked Nate Robinson and not just as a joke.
The Sheed hate is growing I see... :) People will change their opinions come playoffs time, I am sure of it. I voted for Sheed of course
HE DID IT! Good job JR, I voted for Nate of course and I'm quite sure that it was a smart move for me and 55 other people that have already voted.
I would be happy if at least one of them starts rebounding more.
Nate will pull down the rebounds after all Sheed's missed shots. LOL.
Well after 1 game their tied at 0. While 'Sheed will get the minutes advantage, ACF astutely points out that Nate will have the opportunity to run down a few rebounds off 'Sheed 3-point clanks. Should be an interesting battle.
after 2nd game, Nate got into a gargantuous lead, hitting the offensive glass twice in one game, thus shattering 'Sheeds hopes.
'Sheed manned up in a game vs. Nets with the acquisition of his 32nd OREB this season. But Nate got one as well.
So after third game Nate leads 3:1.
After Boston playing at Detroit, fourth game including Robinson in green, it's 4:2. Robinson keeping the distance.
Thanks Jenda for the updates.
5th game brought no OREBs for our contestants. Nate in lead with 4:2.
Same after sixth.
After tenth game and a streak of six games in a row with no OREBs it's still 4:2 for Nate. Those are some sad numbers.
That's hilarious Jenda. You'd think that a ball would accidentally bounce to you once every half a dozen games.
Yeah, I mean how long can the tall lazy guy and the short jumpy dude avoid getting hit by a missed shot attempt? lol
11th, 'Sheed with one. 4:3 Nate still in the lead.
After win in Dallas, it's still 4:3. I guess you who voted for 'Sheed are getting a bit restless, right? Will he make it? Will he not?
What a pathetic performance. lol. Thanks for the updates Jenda. You yourself are only 4 off from the lead...
Oh that's right! I should totally give it a run! There's still about 13 games left so sign me in! lol
Big shocker came tonight as the C's hosted Nuggets in the garden. No OREBs for the contestants, Nate keeps his lead 4:3.
Jenda you have the easiest job on Celtics Life. lol
It is a sad thing, though. lol
In the game against OKC 'Sheed made us all think again about his morale. The OREB tally is now 4:4. Big thumbs up for the guy, who's more than one foot taller.
4:4 after 19 games. Oh boy.
20th game brought no OREBs. I think I have about five games 'till I have anything of change in this one.
21st. 4:4. 'Sheed with no rebounds in ten and a half minutes, Nate didn't even play.
After game 22, loss to Knicks, it's still 4:4.
This is going down to the wire.
If it is a draw, I'd announce Nate as the winner.
Jenda, why? Because Nate is a foot and a half shorte, plays much fewer minutes, and is a guard? That's not really fair. ;)
Yeah, those might appear amongst the reasons.
'Sheed apparently got his 5th OREB in 23 games. He is in "command" of this competition against the guard by one.
Damn.
I'm not able to believe it. 'Sheed got 3 OREBs and is up by four. It is quite probable he has the victory assured. It was a nice battle, thanks for watching the numbers with me..
Looks like Rasheed delivered the knockout blow last night, but that final game of the season could be a factor. Teams generally play the end of their bench 40 mins, so someone send Nate a message quick on twitter or facebook and tell him to go for it. lol.
Someone should. Probably all the 282 people. He has a shot, 4 OREBs is just his last 100 minutes of playing time.
9:5, both got one in loss against the Bulls.
in the loss against the Bucks 'Sheed got one. The final tally is 10:5. 'Sheed decided in the final games, shattering mine hopes of Nate winning while overrebunding him on the offensive glass 2:1. Pretty impressive for a guy, who's 6'11. NOT!
Congratulations to Rasheed Wallace for averaging as many offensive rebounds per 36 mins as the back-up point guard one and half feet shorter than you. I wonder what we should send Rasheed as an award?
Btw, Rasheed who we were promised would step it up in the playoffs finished with 4 points and 1 rebound tonight. Now that his contest with Nate is over, he of course had no offensive rebs. ;) Thanks to Jenda for keeping track of this contest.
If it wasn't for lazy I'd count the exact minutes each of them played in the last 28 games to see who was better after all. I'd say Nate didn't play more than two thirds of 'Sheed's playtime.
