Celtics 2019 draft positioning - 12/03/2018 - looking brighter

With four potential first-round draft picks in 2019, the Celtics positioning is looking brighter. As of today, Boston would have the rights to the 12th, 18th, 26th and 28th picks. The Sacramento Kings are ranked 11th in the Western Division, with Memphis at the 6th spot and the Clippers ranked second. The Celtics sit at the 6th spot in the East.

NBADraft.Net has the Celtics taking 6'11', 240-pound Jontay Porter with the 12th pick, but he had sustained an ACL-MCL injury and is out for the season. Where he will be taken in the 2019 draft is uncertain.

Romeo Langford

Right now, Indiana's 6'6". 210-pound shooting guard Romeo Langford is projected to be taken at the 11th slot. If Sacramento starts fading, Boston may get a shot at 7'2" Bol Bol or France's 6'9" Sekou Doumbouya. Langford's highlight video is below:

Another possibility for the Celtics is Maryland's 6'10" Bruno Fernando who is slated to go at the 13th spot by NBADraft.Net. His highlights can be seen in the video:

This draft outlook will obviously change as the season progresses, but right now it still appears that the Sacramento pick will be the real prize. Be on the lookout for my monthly updates on the Celtics draft possibilities.
