The Boston Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 95-89 in their Summer League debut, though it wasn't all smooth sailing for the young team.

They lost rookie Robert Williams to a knee contusion, and it was a close game throughout, the Celtics pulling away for a win in the final minutes of the fourth to secure the win despite Williams missing much of the game.

Big performances from Semi Ojeleye (16 points) Guerschon Yabusele (16 points, 7 boards) and Jabari Bird (14 points, 8 boards) were the reason Boston came away victorious.

All three of whom figure to play some meaningful minutes with the parent club this season, even if Bird doesn't make the regular roster.

The Celtics next face the Denver Nuggets at 11 PM EST tonight, Saturday, July 7th, so have a cup of coffee late if you plan on catching the game on ESPN3, or check in with us tomorrow for more full game highlights.
