Marcus Smart's value is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma, and when you throw in the fact that there's way more quality free agents than teams with available cap space, things get even hairier.

Smart's gritty defense and hard-nosed attack-mode approach to the game make him one of the most polarizing figures in the sport - as do his seemingly permanent case of the yips.

In an unconstricted market, Smart's game-winning playmaking tendencies are probably enough to back-up his claim that he's "worth more than twelve or fourteen million" per year...but just barely. Those skills outweigh his offensive shortcoming, at times massively.

Other times, his shot selection and ice-cold heat checks throw away games the Boston Celtics had no business losing. Given there's very few teams who can sign more highly-regarded free agents, is there a team out there who might try and snipe Smart from the Celtics - and if so, what do you think is the maximum amount he might get offered? If such an offer is made, up to how much should Danny Ainge and company match?

Watch the videos below to hear some opinions from Smart, Ainge, and the folks at NBC Boston on how they think this riddle should be solved, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
