Michael Porter, Jr. continues to drop in mock drafts - Celtics may want to be prepared

The latest ESPN Mock Draft has Michael Porter, Jr. being selected with the 12th pick in tonight's NBA draft. Many analysts have rated Porter as the best prospect in this year's draft, but a back injury and hip issues have allowed him to drop in various mock drafts.

The Los Angeles Clippers hold both the 12th and 13th picks in the draft, and they just happen to be in rebuild mode. If by some chance Michael drops to #12, they may not be willing to take the chance on him. But the Boston Celtics may just be willing to do just that.

Very few in the NBA community doubt Porter's talent and abilities, but most have worries about his lasting health in the intensity of the NBA. But a team with a wealth of young talent, draft picks and recent success may just want to take a shot. That might be Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics.

It is a long shot that Porter drops that far in the draft, but in the event that he does, Danny Ainge may want to be prepared to pounce. The draft begins soon and be assured that Ainge has covered most of the bases. This possible scenario may be one of them.
