Celtics don't hit it big in 2018 NBA Draft Lottery

The Boston Celtics missed out on landing one of the top picks in the 2018 NBA Draft as the Lakers pick in which they could have obtained had the ping pong balls bounced right will stay with the Philadelphia 76ers at the #10 spot. The Sixers traded the rights to the pick as part of the exchange prior to last year's draft when they acquired the 1st-overall selection from the Celtics.

Celtics will now get better of Kings/Sixers first round pick in 2019, top-1 protected. If pick lands at No. 1, Celtics' get the other team's pick.

Not ideal for the Celtics that the Kings were one of the teams that moved up in this year's lottery, as whatever player they draft at #2 will more than likely be ready to help right away next season.
