Boston Celtics are undefeated when wearing black jerseys

The Boston Celtics unpredictable 16-game win streak finally came to an end Wednesday night versus the Miami Heat. It was an impressive start despite the loss, proving to the rest of the league that they are for real.

They beat elite teams such as the defending champion Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder including their "Big Three."

The Celtics were anxious to get back on the court trying to start another win streak and hopefully beat their last streak. The team announced they will be sporting their alternative black jerseys in a match-up against the Orlando Magic

Prior to the 2017-18 season the NBA agreed to a partnership with Nike to make the entire leagues' jerseys. Nike revealed the "Statement" edition uniforms over the summer and every team is set to unveil their own at some point this season.

The Celtics are undefeated while wearing their black alternative uniforms, winning two straight games against the Orlando Magic and the Indiana Pacers.

After a minor speed bump in Miami, the team was hungry to prove that the loss was a fluke situation. Lead by the back-court of Kyrie Irving and Terry Rozier, the Celtics managed to improve their record to 17-3, placing them atop the East.

Jaylen Brown was not at the contest against the Pacers because he traveled to Atlanta in order to make the funeral of his best friend, who passed away last week. Marcus Smart moved into the starting lineup during Browns' absence and picked up his scoring, helping the Celtics win a closer game than the score suggests. The Celtics were also without big man Marcus Morris, as he decided to not travel with the team to Indiana due to leg soreness.

After an incredible start of their season, should the Celtics stick with their black jerseys until they lose a game...or does it not matter?
