Marcus Morris to make Boston Celtics debut tonight

Marcus Morris will reportedly play his first minutes as a Boston Celtic tonight as the team closes out its preseason schedule against the Charlotte Hornets.

Morris, who missed all of camp and most of preseason to attend an assault trial both he and his brother Markieff were charged (but cleared) in stemming from a 2015 incident when both brothers played for the Phoenix Suns, will help fill a thin frontcourt made thinner with Aron Baynes spraining a knee in the last preseason tilt with the Philadelphia 76ers.

It will be a challenge to battle new Hornet Dwight Howard in the paint without Baynes, so don't be surprised if the Celts lose their first rebounding battle of the year, but with Charlotte down wing man Nic Batum with an injury of his own, the advantages will likely be neutralized unless a source of offense not named Kemba Walker emerges.
