Video: Episode 2 of Jaylen Brown's intense offseason workouts

Just a few weeks from his rookie season with the Celtics coming to a close and Jaylen Brown is already going hard in his offseason workout regimen. Yesterday his team dropped the 2nd video of Jaylen's Hone The Pressure, It Makes Diamonds series with an inside look into his offseason training program. He is putting in some serious work:

"I'm just trying to get better. I'm coming for everybody."

It sure looks like there's a huge focus on ball-handling and shooting off the dribble in Jaylen's workout, although at the end of the video he says his main focus is conditioning and playing off the pick-and-roll.

He's currently working out at his former high school, Joseph Wheeler High School, in Marrieta, Georgia - his hometown. Some of the members of his training team have been working with him since middle school.

It's hard to get excited watching somebody workout and take shots in an empty gym, but for some reason I find this series very interesting. Maybe it's because I've got such big expectations for Brown and I can't wait to see how he builds upon a very good rookie season. I expect him to be in the mix for a starting spot next season right from the jump, but that obviously depends very much on how the roster shakes out this offseason.

We might get to see Brown in action in just a couple of weeks when the Celtics' summer league squad takes the floor against the Lakers on July 1st. Jaylen told Danny Ainge last week that he's playing this summer, and Brad Stevens confirmed to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe that Brown would likely play in some capacity. It would be pretty awesome to see him and Markelle Fultz share the floor with one another so soon.
