Markelle Fultz will be in Boston this week to meet and work out for the Celtics

By now, you are all familiar with Markelle Fultz. The projected No. 1 pick and Washington alum has perhaps been the most talked about player among Celtics fans since the season came to a close. Now, he is coming into town for a few days early this week.

He will reportedly meet with the Celtics on Monday and work out on Tuesday, while also receiving a physical examination during his time in town:

As we inch closer to draft night on June 22nd, the Celtics are ramping up their preparations by bringing in some awfully talented prospects.

The C's recently worked out Jonathan Isaac, the 6'11" Florida St. forward and projected top-10 selection. Isaac is a player who is oozing with potential given his physical tools, yet would likely not compete too much with Fultz for the top pick if it is solely based on best available talent.

Boston will also be meeting with NC State point guard Dennis Smith on June 7th. Smith, like Isaac, is super athletic and is projected to be a top-10 pick. He is perhaps the most explosive player in the draft, especially out of the talented crop of guards, but again is not likely worthy of the No. 1 selection. So why bother?

Well, whether these workouts are to test the waters of some top-10 talent or to see if trading down or for another top-10 pick would be worthwhile, Danny Ainge is not setting his heart at one place for the draft.
