Maine Red Claws were eliminated last night despite big game from D-Jax
The Maine Red Claws were eliminated from the playoffs last night, putting an end to their best postseason run in franchise history:
FINAL SCORE: Red Claws are eliminated by @Raptors905 103-88 #CrustaceanNation— Maine Red Claws (@maineredclaws) April 20, 2017
The loss came at the hands of Toronto Raptors' D-League affiliate Raptors 905 in the Eastern Conference finals. The Raptors won the 1st two games of a best of three series.
Some good can be taken from the losing effort though as Celtics prospect Demetrius Jackson shined leading the Red Claws with 21 points on 8 of 10 shooting ( 4/5 from three), 5 assists, 4 rebounds and a pair of steals as well as this monster dunk:

Between Jackson, D-League Rookie of the Year Abdel Nader, newcomer Guerschon Yabusele, and Jordan Mickey it's going to be interesting just how many of these guys will be back in Maine for any portion of next season - that includes Ante Zizic who's heading stateside next season as well. I'd imagine some of them will start next year in Maine or at least familiarize themselves with that ride up I-95 from Boston that Mickey and Jackson know all too well. That of course hinges on what happens with the Celtics roster this offseason which is likely to look very different with several contracts coming off the books.
