Kelly Olynyk likely to make season debut tonight versus Wizards

Kelly Olynyk is likely to make his season debut tonight, as the Boston Celtics are hosted by the Washington Wizards today. Olynyk, who traveled with the team to Washington after considering but eventually deciding against making his debut versus the Denver Nuggets this past Sunday, was hopeful when asked if he would be on the court tonight.

The Celts, who have stumbled out of the gate as several key players have been injured, look to get a much needed boost from Olynyk's return. Marcus Smart is still getting his sea legs back after returning from an ankle sprain, a problem shared by starting small forward Jae Crowder, who will most likely miss another game or two if not more. Al Horford, the other major injury Boston is dealing with, is progressing with the NBA concussion protocol, and should be back on a similar timetable if not sooner.
