Kelly Olynyk will not be making his return to the Celtics' bench when the Celtics take on the Rockets tonight at the TD Garden.
This shouldn't come as a surprise to those following Olynyk's health this week, as he just did not seem overly optimistic about a return to action when asked about his shoulder earlier this week.
Kelly Olynyk does not sound like a player ready to return to game action. Asked how he’s feeling he says, "Same story, different day."— Chris Forsberg (@ESPNForsberg) March 10, 2016
Olynyk says he's still slowed by his shoulder and can't do the physical work needed to defend in post. "Shot is all right."— Mike Petraglia (@Trags) March 10, 2016
With the team winning 7 of 10 in his absence, there doesn't seem to be a reason to rush Olynyk back if he's not yet feeling 100%. Hopefully another weekend of treatment gets the 7 foot sniper back in action next week.
