Around the NBA 11/11: Things Celtics fans should know from last night

While the Celtics got back to .500 basketball with a double-digit victory in Milwaukee, there were 12 other NBA teams in action.  Here are things you should know:

2016 DRAFT PICK WATCH

1. Brooklyn (0-7) did not play last night.  The Celtics own the Brooklyn Nets pick.

Oh, and by the way, can any of you tell me which of these November games the Nets will, or even should, win:

@HOU
SAC
@GSW
ATL
CHA
@BOS
BOS
@OKC
@CLE
DET

I am sure many will circle the Kings and Hornets games, but those are both on the road, with the Hornets game on a back-to-back and Charlotte happens to be pretty good...

2. The Timberwolves had to play again last night after that exciting win in Atlanta on Monday, and they had to do so without their best player, Andrew Wiggins.  Their fatigue from Monday's game and the absence of Wiggins showed as they struggled in the fourth quarter and lost 104-95.  The Celtics will receive the Timberwolves 2016 first-round draft pick as long as it falls outside picks 1 through 12.

3. Anthony Davis and the Pelicans won their first game last night.  Unfortunately, it was against the Dallas Mavericks. With that being said, the Mavericks, who are 3-4 now, remain in good shape with regard to falling outside the bottom 7 and conveying their first-round pick in 2016.   The Celtics will receive the Mavericks pick if it falls between 8-30. Dallas retains the pick if it falls between 1-7.

ATLANTIC DIVISION STANDINGS WATCH

4. The Knicks have been impressive all season and last night's win in Toronto over the Raptors may be the game that turns what many of us thought would be a two-team race into a three-team race.

5. The 76ers (0-7) and Nets (0-7) did not play last night.

Atlantic Division as of 11/11
Toronto 5-3
New York 4-4
Boston 3-3
Philadelphia 0-7
Brooklyn 0-7
