Around the NBA 11/2: Things Celtics fans should know from last night

In addition to the Celtics Sunday matinee with the Spurs, there were 12 other NBA teams in action yesterday.  Here are 4 things you should know:

2016 DRAFT PICK WATCH

1.The Mavericks moved to 2-1 with a victory over the Lakers in Los Angeles last night, as Dirk Nowitzki and Kobe Bryant turned in polar opposite performances.  While Dirk finished with 25 points (10-13 FG) and 9 rebounds, Kobe shot 3-15 from the field and 7-7 from the free throw line to finish with 15 points. The Celtics will receive the Mavericks 2016 first-round draft pick as long as it falls outside picks 1 through 7.

ATLANTIC DIVISION STANDINGS WATCH

2. The Raptors had six players score in double figures en route to a 106-87 victory over the Bucks. They remain undefeated at 3-0.

3. The Celtics moved to 1-2 after losing at home to the Spurs.  They are in third place in the Atlantic Division behind the Knicks and Raptors.

FORMER CELTIC WATCH

4. Brandon Bass was one of the few Lakers who played well in Sunday night's loss to the Mavericks.  Over 20 minutes, he went 4-6 from the field, and had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
