I guess a lot of people in the NBA office thought the Celtics might win that 1987 championship series. If Bias never died, or at the very least McHale didn't play on a broken foot and/or Walton could contribute something, they may have gotten it done. The 1987 Celtics were one of the best teams to not win a title. But that doesn't make seeing these any less bittersweet.
