Fort Wayne Mad Ant Jordan Crawford scores 28 vs. Maine in sparsely attended D-League playoff game

A little over a year ago, Jordan Crawford won an Eastern Conference Player of the Week award as the Celtics' starting point guard.  We were campaigning for him to be an All-Star--and not as a joke, he had numbers to back it up.

Yesterday, Crawford was busy putting up 28 points for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in their 104-103 overtime victory over the Maine Red Claws in Game 1 of a best-of-three opening-round D-League playoff series.

James Young was an uninspiring 4-for-13 from the field for 17 points (although he did grab eight boards), while Chris Babb chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds for Maine in defeat.

The official attendance in Fort Wayne last night is listed as 1,518, but if you caught any of the game on ESPNU, it looked as if they may have exaggerated by about 1,500.  In case you missed it, here's the entire contest on YouTube:

Game 2 and Game 3 (if necessary) will be played in Maine on Saturday at 4 pm, and Sunday at 4:30.  ESPNEWS will televise both.
