Celtics steal a win versus the Cavalier scrubs 117-78

The Boston Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 117 to 78 today at the TD Garden. With this win and a Pacers loss the C’s could clinch a playoff spot, we kept up our part of the bargain so let’s go OKC! The Cavs were without LeBron, Kyrie, Love and J.R. Smith in this game, making it an easy win for the hungry Celtics. We took it at them early and often, attacking the rim and stealing the ball at will all day long. The C’s outscored the Cavs 31-9 in the second quarter, effectively sealing the win. This game was an absolute no-contest, partially due to our team shooting of 54%, 29 total assists, and an NBA season high of 20 steals.

The C’s had 7 players in double figures today, but Evan Turner and Isaiah Thomas were the two stars of the game. Turner continues to be a stat-sheet stuffer, notching 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Thomas dazzled his way to 17 points and 6 assists, further padding his 6th man of the year candidacy. The whole scrub Cleveland squad played stellar, coughing up 24 turnovers and shooting 39% from the field.

The Celtics next game is Tuesday night versus the red-hot Raptors.
