Report: Boston sending Brandan Wright to Phoenix for a first-round pick

Adrian Wojnarowski over at Yahoo Sports says sources are telling him the Celtics are sending the freshly acquired Brandan Wright to the Phoenix Suns for a first-round pick. But it may turn out to be two second-rounders.

The Suns will send the Celtics the 2015 first-round draft pick they own from the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources told Yahoo.

The pick is protected from Nos. 1-12 in the 2015 and '16 drafts. If the Timberwolves hold onto it through both drafts, they will then instead send their 2016 and '17 second-round picks.

It's not likely that Minnesota will turn into any semblance of a team outside of the bottom 12 this season or next.

Personally, I'd have given up Wright and a future first for T.J. Warren, but it is what it is.
