Celtics out-suck the Knicks Tonight: 101 to 95

The Boston Celtics fall to the New York Knicks tonight at the TD Garden, 101 to 95. It was a Rajon Rondo Headband-Game which gave much of Celtics Nation hope that he was going to be invested and motivated, but it just wasn’t enough tonight. We were without Avery Bradley, experiencing flu-like symptoms, who was a DNP. Marcus Smart also went down mid-way through the first half, leaving the C’s thin in the backcourt. Not to be outdone, the Knicks went down a guard as well when Iman Shumpert dislocated his shoulder. The Knicks just came out hot and matched any run the C’s went on keeping the lead throughout, they must've been on a ten game losing streak or something and refused to let it extend. The killer was turnovers for the C’s, we finished with 18 overall.

The leaders for the Knicks were Carmelo Anthony and A’mare Stoudemire who had 22 and 20 respectively. More importantly though Melo didn’t threaten any of his teammates with physical violence after an errant pass or a bad shot tonight, that's got to be a plus for the Knicks. Jeff Green lead the C’s in points tonight with 28, however both Tyler Zeller and Kelly Olynyk were the stars in my eyes. They dominated down low and consistently hit shots tonight. The chemistry with Rondo and Zeller was on point as Tyler finished with 19 points, on 9 of 14 shooting.

The Celtics get back after it on Monday night versus the lowly 76ers at the TD Garden, should be a W.
