Preseason Game 2: Sully puts on shooting display as C's beat Knicks

Kelly Olynyk hit two pretty threes to pace a hot shooting Boston team in the first (10-20). Yet, Boston still trailed the Knicks 33-27 in a preseason game played in Hartford, Connecticut.

Avery Bradley responded to his lackluster game offensively against the 76ers with eight points and two steals in the first half. Marcus Smart did the same scoring 10 points and demonstrating why Brad Stevens isn't worried about his outside shooting.

Sully contributed by hitting two really pure looking threes and led Boston offensively with 11 as the team in green went into the locker room leading 54-52 behind 6-10 from the arc.

It should be noted that Boston only had six turnovers to New York's 13 and the Knicks were 3-14 from deep in the first two quarters. The Knicks were able to stay in the game by outrebounding Boston 24-13 (five offensive).

Marcus Thronton had seven points in the third and looks like he will be one of the Celtic fan favorites this season due to his ability to fill it up in bunches.

Celtics 81 Knicks 68 after three.

Sullinger hit another pretty three as well as two nice little jump hooks in the fourth finishing with 23 (9-12, 3-3 from deep) demonstrating why Bleacher Report called him the breakout star at the power forward position as Boston went on to a 106-86 win.
