Wizards jump all over Boston en route to a 118-92 victory

The Washington Wizards jumped all over the Celtics tonight scoring 22 points in less than 6 minutes before going on a scoring drought, eventually leading Boston 29-21 after one.

Rajon Rondo single-handedly did everything he could to keep Boston in the contest scoring 10 points on 5-8 shooting while also doling out two assists and snaring three rebounds in the quarter.

Marcin Gortat was a monster for Washington in the frame finishing with 12 points and six boards. John Wall contributed eight points and four assists as well.

The teams went back and forth the majority of the second quarter before a 5-0 run courtesy of Trevor Ariza put the Wizards up 57-43 with four seconds to go in the quarter. Fortunately for Boston, Jared Sullinger drained a three before the teams went into their respective locker rooms cutting the Washington lead to 57-46.

Sully had 10 in the second keeping Boston within striking distance.

Washington jumped all over the C's once again starting out the third going on a 9-2 run and leading Boston 66-48.

Thngs only got worse from there as Washington led Boston 89-62 after three.

I should probably also mention that at this point in the game the Celtics are a combined 2-20 from three point range with Jeff Green leading the way at 0-6.

Al Harrington came out and hit a three to start the third then subsequently hit another three a sequence that pretty much summed up Boston's night as Washington went up by 33. (Harrington is shooting 32 percent from three for the season).
