Gerald Wallace says Sully one of best o-rebounders he's played with

The day after Jared Sullinger's 31 point 16 rebound performance in the Celtics 99-89 victory over the Sacramento Kings in Boston Friday, teammates were still raving about "Sully's" performance.

Gerald Wallace had this to say:
Wallace does have a large sample size of teammates to reference considering he's played with five franchises (Kings, Bobcats, Trail Blazers, Nets, Celtics) in his seven seasons in the league.

Even so, the numbers don't necessarily bear out this claim however. According to sportingcharts.com Sully is the 19th best offensive rebounder in the NBA this season per 36 minutes.

Having said that, it also needs to be considered that the Celts are one of the smallest teams in the league and don't have a true center to occupy the other team's big men on the glass.

Taking this into consideration, I think you can add at least one offensive board to Sully's totals per 36 per game which would place him at 5.3 just behind Andre Drummond and Lou Amundson of the Pelicans.

Amundson also only gets ten minutes per game and his basic job is to crash the boards and provide energy off of the bench.

Scientifically speaking then, Wallace's assertion absolutely bears out that Jared Sullinger is not only one of the best offensive rebounders he's ever played with but plain and simply one of the best in the NBA.
