C's far from getting an early Christmas present today at Indiana

Life does not get any easier for the Celtics today as they take on the Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Tip off at 6 p.m. E.T.

The C's are coming off of two discouraging games at home where the gave up big leads on their way to falling to both Detroit then to Washington yesterday.

Despite the loss Avery Bradley had a phenomenal gaame against the Wizards with 26 points on 12-18 shooting.

Recently, the Pacers were on a mini-slide of their own having dropped two consecutive games for the first time this season.

First to Detroit, their first home loss of the season. Then to the Heat in a heartbreaking loss in South Beach in a game where D-Wade looked like his old self dropping 32 against them on Wednesday.

However, the did come back with a statement game at home absolutely pulverizing Houston Friday night.

Despite these recent losses the Pacers are still my pick to win it all this season due to their great interior defense and ability to play team basketball.

If the Celtics are going to have any chance at all today they are going to have to get a big game from Jeff Green.

In his last four games Green is averaging 10.5 points on 16-44 shooting (36%).

He has been abysmal from three during this stretch shooting 3-15 including 0-6 against Washington.

Green is one of the few players in the league with the length and athleticism to guard Pacer small forward Paul George on the perimeter.

George is having an MVP type season averaging 23.8 points and six rebounds in addition to being one of the best wing defenders in the game.

So, we'll see if Green is up to the challenge.

My prediction:

The Celtics matchup very poorly with Indiana especially with old school seven footer Roy Hibbert occupying the middle for the Pacers.

Pacers: 107 Celtics: 91
