Celtics Injury Report: Kelly Olynyk out another week

Celtic rookie Kelly Olynyk will miss some additional time after suffering from an ankle sprain. Initial projections had Olynyk back in time for Friday's match-up against the visiting Denver Nuggets, but as the injury is more serious than initially diagnosed, the C's are in no rush to get Kelly back on the floor.

"Kelly is out and I think that probably still might be a week from what I can tell," Stevens said. "I don’t know the exact timeline on Kelly. It was a significant sprain, so we’re going to be smart and give him appropriate time to come back."
Stevens and the Celtics will look to Kris Humphries, Vitor Faverani, and Jared Sullinger to backfill the production gap left by Olynyk's abscence has he has been doing over the most recent stretch of games- a strategy that has worked well thus far as both Sullinger and Humphries are playing their respective best basketball of the season as of late.
