Celtics get CRUSHED in Houston 109-85

The Boston Celtics played the front end of a Texas back-to-back in Houston on Tuesday night. They might as well have just flown straight to San Antonio.

The Celtics got absolutely throttled by the Rockets 109-85. There is nothing positive to say about the game to be honest. Houston played well, Boston did not. The entire game was essentially garbage time after the Rockets dropped 40 points on 80% shooting in the first quarter to the Celtics 18 points.

Here are some stats that stand out from the dreadful night:

Jeff Green disappeared again (doubling his points from last game) finishing with four points.

Houston shot 56.9% from the field to Boston's 32.3%.

The Celtics took an amazing 99 shots making only 32 of them.

Avery Bradley was 5-22 shooting in 27 minutes.

Avery Bradley's +/- on the night was a mind blowing -36! Followed closely behind by Jordan Crawford's -32 and Green's -31.

Phil Pressey was somehow a +16.

James Harden was a +32.

After a couple of days off the Celtics came out and laid an egg. They will give it another try against one of the best teams in the NBA Wednesday night in San Antonio. Now go ahead and crush everyone in the comments.
