Celtics can’t keep pace with Indiana, falling 97-82

The Boston Celtics fall to the Indiana Pacers 97 to 82 tonight at the Garden. Where were these Celtics versus the Rockets? Although they didn’t put together a solid 48 minutes, they still played head and shoulders above the other night. The first half was about as good a half of basketball as you’ll see this year, led by Mike Saver’s favorite Jordan Crawford who finished with 24 points on 10 of 12 shooting. I can’t believe I’m about to say this but I love watching Crawford play, he’s like the Dana Barros of this C’s team. The second half however they seemed to turn into the sloppy, ugly team that we’re unfortunately getting accustomed to seeing.

The Pacers MVP candidate Paul George had a poor shooting night, 9 of 20, but did finish with 27 points. Lance Stevenson notched a triple-double scoring 10 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing 10 assists. I don’t know whether the NBA’s best defensive team stifled the sub-par Celtics offense in the second half or the stagnant offense of the C’s decided this game. Tune into Comcast Sports Net tomorrow night at 7:30 to see the Celtics take on the Atlanta Hawks at the Phillips Arena.
