Raptors defeat Celtics 99-97

As the rest of Boston cheers on the Red Sox in game 4 of the ALCS, the Boston Celtics pushed the Toronto Raptors to the final buzzer in their preseason game in Toronto. Ultimately they fell short.

In one of the most strange finishes you will see, Julyan Stone of the Raptors missed a wide open fast break dunk with seconds remaining. Boston was able to come back down and Jordan Crawford attempted a three ball for the win, when it didn't fall, Jared Sullinger missed a wide open put back for overtime... hey, it's preseason.

It was a pretty well rounded game for the Celts. Six Celtics scored in double figures: MarShon Brooks (17), Jeff Green, Kelly Olynyk and Vitor Faverani (13 each), and Avery Bradley and Sullinger (10 each). Olynyk added nine rebounds and was also a team leading +14 in +/-. Brooks' 17 points came in 20 minutes, 15 of them were scored in the 4th quarter.

Landry Fields led Toronto with 14 points and seven rebounds off the bench. This was Boston's second preseason loss to the Raptors.

Phil Pressey also turned an ankle in the 4th quarter and hobbled off the court. He never returned to the game, and is yet to be examined. It looked like a pretty bad sprain on replay, tough news for the C's already without Rajon Rondo to lose their only other true point guard. We'll wait and see what they news on Pressey is, lets hope for the best.

Boston's next game is back in Canada, this time against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Montreal, Sunday evening. They will return to Boston in between games.
