Preseason game craziness has ended tonight with a back-to-back battle against Philadelphia in a loss, yet the Celtics have shown that they are a couple of practices away from being ready for the season. The final preseason game provided Doc yet another opportunity to experiment as he started the game with a "tall lineup" of Garnett-Bass-Green-Pierce-Rondo. This lineup spreads the floor well and makes use of penetrating skills of a physical backcourt, and it has outscored the opponent overall.

Green has shown his "jack of all trades" side again with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals and 4 blocks (yes, you've read it right). The other guy with a double-double was Rondo (12 points, 10 assists) In other good news, Lee has contributed nicely with 10 points (2-3 3PTs) and is finding/embracing his role day by day. Even though Pierce was having an off night in any category (3-12 FG, 5 TOs), Bass had quite the opposite with 5-7 FGs. It's still a mystery as to who will start at 4 as Sullinger had a good night as well with 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Celtics fans who made use of the $3 tix have not had the chance to watch JET, Darko Knight or the Brazilian Blur.

Anyway, the preseason is finally over. Bring on the Heat!
