Jeff Green "glad to be playing again"

In an article posted today over at CSNNE, a little bit of Celtics news has been shared about swing-man Jeff Green.
In an interview with former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Damaris Lewis, Green touched on a number of topics in relation to his return to the Boston Celtics next season.

"I feel awesome," was Green's response when asked how he's feeling since he had season-ending heart surgery. "I actually feel a lot better than I did prior to the surgery. It was a blessing, and I'm doing better now."

As far as playing with the Celtics, Green said, "That jersey has a lot of history in it. I have a great opportunity ahead of myself. I'm glad that I'm playing again."
Full story here. Still no official word on Green's contract signing, but I'm anxious to see how he will perform and what he will bring to the team. Green can be a solid scorer in place for Pierce (or Bass when we go small) and he can run the floor very well with Rondo. Jeff says he has felt good since the surgery, and I hope we can trust his word.
