Ainge offered Paul Pierce to Portland

Doesn't appear like Danny Ainge is following in the footsteps of Red Auerbach when it comes to loyalty. According to ESPN, the Celtics offered Paul Pierce to the Blazers, but Portland passed due to Pierce's contract. Pierce is aware of the situation and had the following to say:
"I've heard it put out there that if Danny Ainge gets the opportunity, [a trade] can happen. So I'm not in a situation like Steve Nash where it's only if he requests it. That wasn't said to me. That's what it is."

The Suns have let it be known that they will not explore trading Steve Nash unless he requests a trade. In my honest opinion, Paul Pierce deserves the same respect, but he's not getting it.
