Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo will join almost all of the NBA's elite players on a 3 continent, 6 game basketball tour. Kevin Garnett is also considering playing. The rest of the roster will include Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Bosh, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Carlos Boozer, Kevin Love, and possibly Kevin Durant.

The tour, scheduled to begin Oct. 30 and end Nov. 9, will make stops in Puerto Rico, London, Macau, and Australia. Each game will be staged in an arena that holds at least 15,000 fans. Two games each will be played at sites in London and Australia.

Darden is hoping to broadcast the games in as many international markets as possible and perhaps in the United States as well.

The players will be paid, receiving salaries ranging from six figures up to $1 million, sources said. Some of the money generated by the tour will be donated to charity.

The tour would be the biggest lockout event NBA players have ever staged.
If they play real basketball with actual defense these will be some must see games. KG should take Boozer's spot. Check out this ticket broker to browse tickets for sporting events. We'll keep you posted when the dates are set.

freaking out here in Melbourne......this would pretty much be a dream come true to see these guys play down here!!!!!!!!

as long as they play in Melbourne and not Sydney I will be happy

Melbourne has at least had a team in the national league for the last 20 years or more, whereas both sydney teams folded cos nobody wanted to go, now they have restarted one of them

    anxiously awaiting ticketing announcements...

  11. If this is successful and CBA Talks are still at a halt... i wouldn't be surprised if guys organize something even bigger.

Why don't they organize a team to go and play European teams?
