Breaking: Doc Signs 5 Year Extension

The news comes from CSNNE:
Doc Rivers will be with the Celtics for at least five more years.
The team's director of basketball operations, Danny Ainge, told CSNNE's Greg Dickerson that Rivers has reached agreement on a five-year contract extension. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Celtics will pay Rivers $35 million over that period.
This is good news for the Celtics as it will give them continuity as they begin the rebuilding process after the Big 3 Era ends.   It will also be one less distraction for the team this summer as they prepare to add pieces around the current core group going into next season.
