According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, the Celtics are hoping that Troy Murphy is bought out, but also are considering Dan Gadzuric, Sasha Pavlovic and Jason Kapono.
Gadzuric has been a monster against the Celtics in his career, as most Celts fans know. Pavlovic and Pierce have a little bit of history, enough where I don't see that happening. And I'm not sold on Kapono.
Leon Powe has also been mentioned as a possibility.

Perk will be missed, but we played well without him. We added two nice pieces and hopefully we will add two more in Murphy and Kapono. We need the O'neals to get healthy, but I still think we can and will win the championship.
Hell, I like the young whipper-snapper Chris Johnson just a good as any of these choices.
He brings the height, length, grit and energy that places him right up there with any of these guys who haven't done anything noteworthy in a while now.(At least not this year, anyway).
I don't know what the hell went on there in Jersey with Troy Murphy but I see that he has only played 18 games (out of 57) this entire complete season and only averaged 3 pts per game/ 4.2 rebounds/ and 0.1 blocks per game when he was on the floor.
Maybe the guy has been damaged goods, or just clashed with Avery Johnson, but he definitely got shipped, however you may want to justify it.
I like the way that CJ doesn't mind getting his nose into a defensive play and swat at that ball. Also he goes after loose balls and hits the boards offensively. Most importantly, he actually has functioning parts: arms,legs,shoulders, hands. Unlike what I can say for the rest of the bigs which we've been going to all year.
Give the kid a chance..especially if the Warriors want to play cat 'n mouse games with us before releasing Troy Murphy.
Who knows we may not need Murphy as much as we think we do.
