But Boston may also bring back Rasheed Wallace, who has remained in the metro Boston area after retiring following Boston's Game Seven loss to the Lakers in last year's NBA Finals.

Although he told CSNNE.com this past summer that his NBA career was a "wrap like Christmas," sources have indicated recently that Wallace might have a change of heart if the C's had a roster spot become available.
This is interesting because Blakely up until this point has been the reporter most adamant saying that 'Sheed isn't coming back. They have a history dating back to when Blakely covered the Pistons.

Yahoo is saying 'Sheed said he's staying retired.

  3. Banner 18 says:

Why are you all saying no??
Ill take it! We need what we can get. Sheed has good chemistry w/our guys and coaches.
He did pretty damn good for us the postseason..

I know he isn't the top option, but he wouldn't hurt (and btw, he is older now, maybe his 'yelling at refs and getting techs' attitude has changed.lol - ok maybe I went too far :)

  6. Anonymous says:

that wud be so sick if the got him back!

  7. Harvey says:

Rasheed is like Jordan compared to Injury prone Jermaine O'Neal. I'd love to have Sheed back!

  8. Jenda says:

Yeah, Sheed has a great chemistry with the guys. The team was much better with him than it was this year. The guy was more of a Villanueva than Villanueva (you see what I did there? ;) ).

  9. I think he'd help down the stretch run. I'm not crazy about it, but if there's a spot and the C's need a center, what better option is there?

  10. Nicholas says:

no no no no and no I really don't want him back....he came up big in only 2 games last season, he'll be unfit (at elast match fitness) I doub't he's been in the gym every day getting up shots which is what has to happen for a player to stay up with his game unless he comes in during mid season to find his rhythem.

plus, if Murphy is coming here we don't need sheed

  11. Neil Anderson says:

we need a big man now...so yeah i would def. get him back

  12. Anonymous says:

    sheed > green. the end.

  13. Anonymous says:

    WTF
i rather watch the celtics lose than have sheed

  14. Anonymous says:

yes he'll comeback, common what's the point of trading big man? are you sure shaq and jermaine can handle playoffs? even finals? that's why rasheed is coming back, just wait.

  15. McSheed says:

What's wrong with him coming back? Remember last year Sheed had a bad back that he was playing with all year. If they get him now and assuming he's in shape then it would be a great pick up. Big size, can stretch the floor, can rebound and play defense and he won't be hurt. Save a roster spot for him.
