Shelden Williams signs with Denver Nuggets

via ESPN:
"The Nuggets made two more moves on Wednesday to solidify their bench. A league source told ESPN.com's John Hollinger that the team has agreed to terms with forward Shelden Williams and guard Anthony Carter and is expected to sign both later in the day. Both deals would be for the league's veteran minimum salary."
It's unlikely that Celtics fans will be surprised or bothered by the departure of Shelden Williams. While showing some good flashes during the regular season, he was an outright liability in the playoffs. Under the heightened pressure, he often seemed lost on both sides of the court. The Celtics would've been better off using the veteran minimum on Scal than Shelden.

During the 2009-10 season, Williams averaged 11.1 minutes per game, averaging 3.7 points and 2.7 rebounds.

One of Shelden's greatest contributions as a Celtic came during the NBA Finals, when he held a contest on Twitter with the prize being tickets to Game 5. Contestants were asked to submit videos of their impressions of KG and Nate and Big Baby.
