According to Adrian Wojo at Yahoo sports, Celtics Associate Head Coach Tom Thibodeau (pictured left) is in the lead to land the Hornets head coaching position. It's apparent it's been narrowed down to him and Monty Williams, who was a Blazers assistant this year.
My biggest concern at this point would be to make sure this doesn't distract what the Celtics are doing right now, striving to win Banner 18.

Boston Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau has emerged as the frontrunner for the New Orleans Hornets’ coaching job and an offer could be forthcoming in the near future. As I've said before, I don't think Tom will make a very good head coach in the league. His specialty is defense and he's not a very charismatic guy if you've seen interviews with him. However if he's offered it I'd wish him the best of luck.
The Hornets are moving toward formulating an offer for Thibodeau and don’t want to risk losing him to another team with a coaching vacancy.

Would hate to see him leave, but he deserves a chance.
Banner 18 would add to his portfolio, wouldn't it?
