According to Yahoo sports, the Celtics are interested in Michael Finley.

Y! Sports: Cs considering idea of trying to sign Finley, but offer has not been made. Veteran swingman shooter would be welcomed addition.

Are you kidding me?  This is pointless.  No one loved Findog more than me when he was on Dallas but this guy's definitely done.  I mean the Spurs are supposedly competing for a title and they release him; what does that say?  Hopefully he realizes he has a much better chance of winning a title in Dallas this year and they have a spot for him.

Did I mention Go Mavs lol?!

I understand what you are saying. But the Celtics are still apparently struggling.

It may take time but the C's are beginning to run out of time, you can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different (better) result.

I'd sign him solely to fill that shooting void that House left.

Celtics' problems are with their core guys, not getting an extra piece or two. When they signed Brown and Cassell two years ago I talked about them being the "missing pieces." This team currently has far too many holes with the major guys in the rotation to think someone of Finley's quality will make a bit of a difference.

He'd be behind Tony Allen and Marquis in the rotation, and ahead of Landry. So unless one of those guys gets hurt, I can't see him making any contribution.

And trust me I've loved Finley forever. Still peeved Boston took Eric Williams over him in the 1995 draft...

We don't need another super old guy. We need youth and athleticism. Unfortunately teams don't buy out those types.

2 guys that could of helped: Ty Thomas with 16 pts, 12 rebs and 2 blocks and Bill Walker with 21 pts tonight.

Well Mike James got bought out tonight lol

We need help, and Finley can shoot and help with some D. I would sign him. Then again, probably Danny will not sign anyone, as what happened to so many rumors around the trade deadline :(

What are you saying finley would be a youngster on this team (just kidding) We myself included are missing the key factor this team needs to go back to the basics get some defense already push the boards. I am used to being able to say oh well they missed the shot but they will get the ball back. I can't say that anymore. Maybe we can go find Rodman in some gutter, age wise he would fit in just fine. Seriously though I think offense we are somewhat okay not great but okay but we cant get those quick playse if we are only getting on offense from inbounding. If we stop them the shots will start coming again

I agree Ian, and right now the defense is awful. Giving up 100 to Detroit tonight? Not good...
