We will miss you Eddie!

With the impending trade of Eddie House to the Knicks, I thought I would reflect on one of my favorite Celtics over the last few years. Eddie House wasn't the best player on the Celtics, but he left an indelible image on this franchise that will be felt for years to come. Similar to Leon Powe and James Posey before him, Eddie brought the intangibles that any championship team needs. Every three he hit the crowd would go into a frenzy. It was like his three pointers were worth 6 points. Also, you knew when he hit one there were more to come. He was the definition of a streak shooter and played his role to perfection.

Eddie wasn't perfect. He couldn't dribble or defend very well and had a terrible habit of shooting foot on the line 3's. This season hasn't been the greatest for him. His three point percentage is down and his defense is below average. On paper Nate Robinson is a better player than Eddie House.

But don't discount chemistry, especially in basketball. I'm not saying Nate can't do it, but Eddie House won games for this Celtics team. Can Nate do the same? I guess we will have to see. The bottom line is I wish Eddie House the best and he will always be a true Celtic in my book. Thanks for the memories Eddie!
