On Monday, Celtics forward Kevin Garnett passed Larry Bird on the NBA's all-time scoring list. He had 19 points in the win against Washington and now has 21,792 points, one more than Bird tallied in his NBA career. Garnett is now number 24 on the all-time list, trailing Gary Payton at 23rd by only 21 points. KG has a shot at reaching 22nd place, which is currently held by Clyde Drexler (who scored 22,195 points), before the 2009-10 regular season ends.

Congratulations, KG. We are proud to call you our spiritual leader.

He should be able to make it into the top 20, maybe even top 15 by the end of his career. This says a lot considering KG's such an unselfish player.

I also wanted to add how is Dominique Wilkins in the top 10 and he wasn't voted one of the NBA Greatest 50 or make the original dream team? And the funny thing is if he didn't lose a couple yrs to Greece and the NBA lockout, he would likely be a top 5 player. Severely underrated. And like KG prior to Boston he never had the talent around him to make it to the Finals (no offense Doc).

Sorry for the tangent. Congrats KG, aka the Big Ticket aka The Kid
