The Grizzlies revisited the possibility of signing Von Wafer last week after learning that the 6-5 guard successfully rehabilitated a back injury. But the team will instead wait to make a final decision in order to keep a roster spot open in case of trade.
Not sure why Memphis would pass on Wafer. The report I had read was that it was a done deal. He's only 24 and a solid player. He shot 39% from three point land last year (41% during the playoffs as he added a nice boost to the Rockets push). I'd be very happy to see the C's take a look at Wafer.
