I'm kind of shocked this isn't a bigger story than it is. Outcomes of games have been changed, possible championships won unfairly (Lakers making the Finals when they should of been bounced by the Kings), the integrity of the game at stake. If this were major league baseball, I'd think congress would be all over this. But this is the NBA and Stern is the dictator and no one can check him on anything. When one person has too much power for too long it almost always goes bad. They start thinking that no matter what they do it can't be wrong, because they can do no wrong.

His last statement in that interview says it all: "it's entertainment because of how the refs are trained and it's not a true athletic competition"
