They don't give much info. Probably just going off yesterday's Marbury tweets.

    He will play basketball somewhere.

Yeah this isn't the last of him in my opinion. According to basketball-reference he's made over $130 million in his career. And he does some good charitable work. If his game's truly done he should take the high road by moving on in his life with his surplus of money and remain out of the public eye.

However I highly doubt this will be the case with him...

  3. If I were him, I'd go to Italy. Get paid big bucks to live in Italy? Doesn't sound like too bad of a life.

  4. tb727 says:

Yep Italy or somewhere in Europe. He'd have a big following too...

  5. Yeah, but, yesterday, on Twitter, Starbury had this to say:
"Retire. LOL. They need for you to think I'm going to do that because they know I'm focused and ready to play this year count me in for 5 yrs

Don't believe the hype someone is trying to build off of saying I said or wrote that I wasn't going to play. Sorry no box for me. LoL.. "

With Starbury these days, it's hard to tell what he is saying. I think he is just having fun stringing the media and everyone else along.

  6. Great to have your insights one here FlCeltsFan

Regarding Marbury, if the NY Daily News is calling Marbury retired, I don't think its by choice. lol. To be honest everytime he says something, the chances of a team taking a chance on him goes down. He's all about the "they tried to put me in a box" saying. ha.
