WATCH: Jaylen Brown drops 30 points at AEBL

The Boston Celtics are in the midst of one of their quieter offseasons over the last couple of years. They elected not to move up in the 2018 NBA Draft and seem content with re-signing their free agents rather than shaking things up like the Celtics did a year ago.

Summer league is quickly approaching for the young guys and the veterans have been in and out of Boston while working out across the country. Jaylen Brown made huge strides in his game during his sophomore season due to the dedication and hard work he put in last offseason.

The uber-athletic wing averaged 6.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game as a rookie while shooting 45.4% from the field, 34.1% from deep, and 68.5% from the line. Brown then went on an insane regiment, sometimes working out up to three times a day while incorporating fasting. He exploded in 2017, averaging 14.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and a steal per game while improving his shooting to 46.5% from the field, 39.5% from three, and 64.4% from the line.

Brown will be looking to take another leap during his third year with the Celtics and he's already back working on his craft. The Marietta native recently competed at AEBL (Atlanta Entertainment Basketball League) and matched up against Lou Williams, Josh Smith, and others. He finished with 30 points including an array of deep treys and athletic dunks.

While the defense in this exhibition was less than stellar on both sides, Brown seems to be finding more consistency from deep. His handle also looks to be improving as Brown showed off a couple of nice dribbling moves en route to a few huge jams. It's going to be fun to see how Jayson Tatum and Brown play together as they continue to develop.
