Paul Pierce to be inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame

Former Boston Celtics All Star wing Paul Pierce will be inducted into the Class of 2018 Kansas Sports Hall of Fame along with twelve others this October, in Wichita, Kansas.

Pierce played three seasons at Kansas before being selected tenth overall by Boston in the 1998 NBA Draft.

There, the Truth would go on to play 19 seasons in the NBA (more than any other player from Kansas), including 15 for Boston, two for the Los Angeles Clippers, and one each for the Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards.

Over that stretch, he managed to garner 10 All Star nods, four All-NBA honors, and (of course) one banner ten years ago this week, where he also earned Finals MVP in earning it. He currently ranks fifteenth on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

If you happen to be in the area and want to check out the ceremony, tickets for the October 7 event will be available at www.kshof.org after August 1, 2018.
