Celtics Shane Larkin always prepared to make an impact

Shane Larkin was supposed to be on a 15-17 minute restriction last night versus the Washington Wizards due to right knee soreness, but he was able to eke out several extra minutes because the team needed him. With many teammates out of action entirely, Shane was in the walking-wounded category, but was able to play 24 minutes. He notched 11 points on 4/8 from the field, 1/1 on threes and 2/2 on free throws. He added four assists and two steals, while having the third-best plus/minus on the Celtics (Plus 7).

His team certainly could have used his energy and production in the second overtime, but Brad Stevens obviously felt that the envelope had been pushed enough. Brad's team did not need another player out of action for an extended time.

Prior to this season, Brad Stevens had stated that he felt Larkin would be "really impactful" for the Celtics. He is always ready to either sit out an entire game out or to come in an energize his teammates with his constant movement. He certainly made an impact last night, and he will again.
