Quantcast

If I told you Paul Pierce would have a lower opinion of the Boston Celtics than Sam Amick of USA Today, you'd probably think I was lying.

As weird as that sounds, in at least one specific instance, that's the Truth (pun intended): when it comes to who will be top dog in the NBA's Eastern Conference next season. For Amick, Isaiah's hip looms large, and runs the risk of derailing the Cleveland Cavaliers season,.

For Pierce, the talent coming on to the team for the Cavs is just the right infusion to keep them at the top. It feels really weird hearing Pierce say that.

So, what do you think? Was this what Boston needed to keep the regular-season top record for the second year running? Or will this deal bite them in the posterior once Thomas is back on the court? Let us know in the comments.
