When Danny Ainge decided to tear down the championship core of the Boston Celtics, Doc Rivers skipped town in order to avoid a lengthy rebuild.



That move may have been a foolish one, with the Celtics having returned to contention status in the East last season while the Clippers have been unable to get out of the second round in a West that has only gotten tougher.
